If you are in the position to give, we would appreciate your support for T:>Care, a Creative Action Resilience Enabling initiative, by T:>Works. In solidarity and alliance, the T:>Care initiative equally divides donations to a select group of projects that make positive change in our communities.

T:>Works is an Institute of Public Character (IPC) with charitable status, and contributions will be accompanied by a 250% Tax Deduction Receipt (TDR).

In its second year, T:>Care has identified the following group of women-led projects working at the intersection of gender, class, and race, including Festival of Women N.O.W. 2021.

  • Feeding the Community:
Krsna’s Free Meals (Learn More) – A volunteer-run soup kitchen located in the historic Little India area. Determined to serve those in need, it offers free fresh vegetarian breakfast and lunch to people from all walks of life including migrant workers, the elderly, and destitute.

  • Empowering with Education:
ReadAble (Learn More)  – an organisation that runs weekly English literacy programmes for children and migrant women in an underserved neighbourhood with the aim of improving social mobility. ReadAble also runs a numeracy programme (CountAble) and an outreach arm (ReadyAble) that trains others to set up community-based literacy programmes.

  • Providing a Home for Transgender Individuals:
The T Project (Learn More) – Singapore’s first and only social service for the transgender community. Always striving to address the vulnerabilities faced by transgender individuals, it provides rent-free residency, workshop space, and professional counselling among many of its other services.

  • Building Solidarities and Alliances for Women Championing Women:
N.O.W. – a Festival of Women initiated in 2019 by theatre artist Noorlinah Mohamed and presented by T:>Works. As an all-women platform in Singapore, it champions the work of women from diverse disciplines, across the arts and social sectors.

Your contributions, big or small, will ensure the sustenance and growth of works by women that tenaciously empower the marginalised voices in our society. Thank you.

We invite you to a T:>Care fundraiser dinner, organised in conjunction with Rasanai: An Invitation to Appreciate, a multi-sensorial livestreamed performance, revealing and reveling in the sounds and tastes, histories and practices of the often occluded hand of the Singaporean Tamil women.

Limited to 60 patrons, the special home-delivered dinner is prepared by Masterchef Season Two contestant Vasun, especially curated in collaboration with Brown Voices, a collective of Indian theatre practitioners that aims to generate and encourage narratives expressing the perspectives, concerns, and aspirations of Singaporean Indians.

Get your fundraiser ticket by selecting $380 or more as your donation amount on Giving.sg, and we will be in touch with your ticket. For ticket-related or any other enquiries, please contact Jeffrey Kang at donate.tcare@gmail.com.

About Vasun

Vasun is a Masterchef Season 2 contestant who conducts Thosai Masterclasses from her home and runs the food blog, Monsoon Table, in her spare time. Her passion lies in making thosai from scratch, indianising any dish and researching the food history of dishes, especially South Indian and South East Asian ones. In her kitchen, she often whips up dishes that exemplify the intersection between food, history and culture. When not in her kitchen, she may be found buried under the hundreds of cookbooks she has amassed from her travels, photographing food, or taking long walks. In the near future, Vasun plans to host dining experiences at her home showcasing regional South Indian foods that are not often found here in Singapore.
