About LOOMS
LOOMS is a creative collective founded by women for women who are redefining their place and purpose in life with artistry, sustainable practices and livelihoods. Fusing passion with their vision for a more inclusive, empowering society, LOOMS creates uniquely designed and handcrafted products by commission and for retail.
As a production focused on women creators and artists, the N.O.W. x LOOMS collaboration was bound to occur.
N.O.W. x LOOMS
The N.O.W. x LOOMS collaboration features a duo of workshops aimed at giving women a chance to design accessories with their own personal touch. Both workshops are held at 72-13, Home of TheatreWorks.

All it takes is 2.5 hours and a brand new one-of-a-kind wearable art is borne, handcrafted by you, facilitated by creatives from LOOMS.
Choose to create from either one of the three products available (pictured left) – Shopper Tote, Laptop Tote and Classic Clutch – made with harvested threads from off-cuts textile and felt. Harvested threads are hand-picked from pre-loved or unused fabrics, thereby sustaining the life of the threads beyond its original source. Your unique wearable art created during the workshop will then be brought back to the LOOMS studio and delicately finished into your chosen functional statement pieces. Carry what you’ve created as your favourite daily essential or gift it to someone you care.
Drawing Threads: Design Your Wallet Basic Workshop
Date: 27 Jul, 3pm–5pm
Price: Free for Stay-At-Home mums
Enquiries: noorlinah.mohamed@gmail.com

This is a 120-min workshop offering Stay- At-Home Mums a chance to learn while creating merchandise, working with free-form art using harvested threads from off-cuts of textiles and fabric pens.
Participants will be working with alternative art materials under the guidance of LOOMS artisans – community mums who have undergone the LOOMs training and development program. To complete the experience, their artwork will be brought back to the LOOMS studio and handcrafted into unique wallets. This is an opportunity for the women to discover hidden artistic talents and an opportunity to progress to apprenticeship with LOOMS. Apprentices will be requested to commit to a 3-month training programme.

To benefit the stay-at-home-mums, we seek individual and corporate philanthropy to donate the workshop fee at $100 per participant (incl. materials). Enquire at noorlinah.mohamed@gmail.com.
